Meet and Great

Hey guys!!! I'm so happy you all decided to come and visit my blog. This is something very new to me and also a learning process (so bear with me lol). I'm very excited to embark on this new blogging journey and I hope you all stick around for great tips on lots of different topics. Well I'm going to keep this intro somewhat short for you guys so here goes... My name is Karmeka I'm a 28 year old mother of four beautiful children (Landon 5, Dorien 6, London 3, and Jace six weeks). I am married to the love of my life (Jorey) you may see me mention their names sometime so it's good to get familiar now lol. As of now I am a stay at home mom, and I'm loving every second of being home with my children. Our lifestyle may be very similar to a lot of yall's  (another reason for creating the blog). We women especially mommies need a sounding board for our issues, ideas, complaints, accomplishments etc. I want you to feel like this is the place to do so. Is it normal to resent my baby??

So you’ve done it. You’ve housed and nurtured a tiny little human inside of your body for 9-10 months. You’ve dreamed and prayed that this time would finally come, and now here it is. So why do you feel a disconnect  from your baby? Why don’t you feel how you imagined you would? You love your new baby so much but the sound of them crying at 3 am makes you want to jump on the next train out of town., but why???  In honor of mental health awareness month I want to touch on the topic of postpartum depression. Let’s look at the definition first off. Postpartum depression is defined as depression suffered by a mother following child birth, typically arising from the combination of hormonal changes, psychological adjustment to motherhood and fatigue. Most people when they think of PPD they think of the worst. It's not always that a mother with this disorder necessarily "hates" her baby. It could be as simple as having a breakdown because an article of clothing no longer fits.

So lately I've been trying to transition my household as much as possible into a healthier more natural lifestyle. I started this after doing research on essential oils and their many amazing properties. After incorporating essential oils into my family's lifestyle I looked further into different ways to incorporate more natural products into my home.
